This material has been digitised by them in different times over 1980 and some originals are not accessible. These include materials created by the AV department for documenting various projects relating to social work and development, as well as internal department records of how Audio visual equipment were used and maintained. A selection of items dating from 1972-73 to 2000 has been included.
It includes Photographs, Videos, Administrative reports and documents, Project Reports, Other writings about SWRC work and a First Day Cover.</dc:description><dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">The Social Work and Research Centre Tilonia was set up in 1972 and since 2000 has been called Barefoot College, Tilonia. It has been working across two campuses at Tilonia villages and several sub centres and affiliated centres in Rajasthan and other parts of India. It works on a wide range of issues - from alternative energy to health, from rural water supply to education, from communication to awareness building and empowerment of rural poor and women. 
The Audio Visual Communication Department has been used as a field site for adapting indigenous communication forms like puppetry and folk forms for video production, and developing and testing low cost, rugged and easy maintenance audio visual techniques and practices. It has hosted teams from other national and international institutions who have collaborated to create, document and test low cost audio visual media processes. </dc:description><dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Series 1: Official Documents and Correspondence
